What fits the ConviPen
The pen is the reusable part of the setup. You'll need two consumables alongside it, both in stock here:
- 3 ml Pen Cartridge (steam sterilized) — the cartridge the ConviPen is built around. link to /products/3ml-pen-cartridge-steam-sterilized
- 31G pen needles in 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm. link to all three needle products
- Bacteriostatic water — Hospira 30 ml or Genetek 10 ml. link to both
How the pen loads and doses
- Push, twist and lock the cartridge holder to seat a 3 ml cartridge.
- Attach a standard 31G pen needle.
- Dial the dose between 1 and 60 units. Overshoot the mark and the dial winds back without discharging, so a misdial costs you nothing.
- Press to deliver. The automatic mechanism keeps delivery consistent from the first unit of a cartridge to the last.

Frequently asked questions
Is the ConviPen reusable?
Yes. The pen itself is designed for repeated use; the cartridge and needle are the consumable parts and are replaced as needed.
What cartridges does the ConviPen take?
Standard 3 ml pen cartridges. We stock a steam-sterilized 3 ml cartridge that fits directly.
What needles fit it?
Standard pen needles. We stock 31G in 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm.
Does it come with cartridges or needles?
No — you receive the pen only. Cartridges and needles are sold separately so you can choose the needle length you want.
How many units can it dose at once?
1 to 60 units per delivery, set on the dial.
What if I dial past the dose I wanted?
